Leanne and power tools

People have told me that the words “Leanne” and “power tool” should never be used together in the same sentence and I might be finding out that they were right! I was recently given a table that was once my husband’s grandmothers and I would like to spruce it up with some new stain. I had finished the table last week and today I thought I’d take a shot at the chairs! Oh boy. It was quite….interesting. Before sanding anything I called my mother to tell her about my new purchase of an electric handheld sander, I was pretty proud of myself, and she began to warn me how I could potentially damage my chairs if I didn’t use it correctly. With that in mind I went to work. Let’s just say I’m waiting for my husband to get home and look over my progress or maybe I should say fix my damage. Unfortunately, my record with “fixing things up” isn’t much of a good one. Ha.
Stay tuned for the finished result and also tomorrow I’m bringing a new recipe to the blog! You won’t want to miss this. I’m drooling just thinking about it.

Blessings

Join my journey!

How do you handle the trials that God brings in your life? Do you count it all JOY as James 1:2-3 tells us?
Well, I am a newlywed, in a new town, with a new job, and making new friends. Needless to say, over the past 10 months of our marriage I've definitely faced moments that were a true test of my faith! I’m thankful to serve a God who NEVER changes even though everything around me IS! Praise God, He blessed me with a wonderful husband to have by my side through it all. He has been so encouraging and helpful with me setting up this blog. I pray that this can be a place of encouragement on both ends and that we may edify each other up in the Lord. Let me know how I can pray for any of you!
Blessings.
